what is the best way to fix the red ring of death on an xbox 360?
my xbox has recently gotten the red ring of death and i have watched numerous videos on how to fix it i know the towel trick i know how to fix the heat pads and i know how to replace the heat sync on the X-clamp i just want to know the best way to fix my xbox 360 before opening it and spending money

I pretty much resorted to fixing my console myself and I went with that guide. It’s got great vids. and a good repair manual. The only bad thing is is that you have to go and get the washers/screws and the thermal cleaning paste. But since those are cheap it’s really not that big a deal.
Anyways I used that guide and I haven’t had any problems with my console at all. It’s been over 5 months now and my systems been running great.
Just make sure you follow that guide to the detail. That’s very important.
